(Andrew Russel Forsyth) — английский математик. Род. в 1858. В 1882 г. профессор математики в университетском колледже в Ливерпуле. С 1884 г. — в Кембридже, как в Trinity College, так и в университете. Учено-литературная деятельность Ф. началась с 1880 г. статьями "Vortex-motion in viscous fluids" ("The Messenger of Mathematics", IX) и

("The Quarterly Journal of pure and applied Mathematics", XVII). Из последующих его работ, весьма многочисленных, назовем следующие "Symm. function of the roots of an equation" ("Messenger of Math.", X, 1881); "Porism of the inand circumscribed polygon" (там же).
